JCERT

The Journal of the Center for Excellence in Research and Teaching (JCERT) is dedicated to advancing scholarly conversations about teaching, learning, faculty development, student success, and educational innovation across higher education contexts. JCERT is a peer-reviewed annual publication of the Academic Center for Excellence in Research and Teaching (ACERT), based at Hunter College, CUNY. The journal serves as a venue for educators, researchers, administrators, and academic support professionals to share practical applications of evidence-based practices, research findings, and reflective scholarship that contribute to excellence in teaching and learning.

The mission of JCERT is to foster a vibrant community of educator-scholars committed to advancing academic excellence through rigorous inquiry, reflective practice, innovation, and collaboration. By bridging research and practice, the journal seeks to promote meaningful improvements in teaching, learning, and student success across diverse educational settings.

JCERT adheres to a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are members of our Editorial Board and the wider ACERT community. Occasionally, outside reviewers may be invited to comment on submissions on special topics.

Our first call for papers will open in Fall 2026.
